OET Medical English
The Occupational English Test (OET) is an approved International English test for Healthcare professionals, enabling them to live and work overseas. The language is work-related, Medical English, required for your career in an English-speaking environment.
The exam itself simulates real workplace asks and tests relevant language skills for each profession. By taking one of our OET preparation courses, you will improve your level of English – focusing on the language and vocabulary you need for real work scenarios, as well as exam techniques and skills needed to pass the OET exam.
Our experienced tutors are qualified in the delivery of OET preparation courses, with bespoke materials, written specifically for your profession to pass the OET test and achieve the desired OET Grade B.

WHO RECOGNIZES OET?
OET is recognized by regulators, hospitals and universities in the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Dubai and Singapore as proof of ability to communicate effectively.
The OET (Grade B) is accepted by UKVI (UK Border Agency) for visa purposes, and also for NMC registration (Nursing and Midwifery Council) and GMC (General Medical Council).
OET MEDICAL ENGLISH: COURSE OVERVIEW
- Hours: 15 hours per week
- Duration: 3, 6, 9+ months, depending on level of English
This course aims to improve your English and communication skills through Medical English and Occupational English Test (OET) preparation. The course aims to get your ready to achieve OET Grade B.
The course uses authentic cases which have been drawn from a range of specialisms as diverse as obstetrics, ophthalmology and neurology. all texts used on the course are taken from the most up-to-date journals.
British Council recommends 120 hours of teaching to improve by 0.5 of an IELTS score.

Assessment of all 4 skills – Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking – with emphasis on communication in medical and health professional settings.
The sub-tests replicate real-life workplace scenarios, and the speaking sub-test is tailored to your specific profession.
