Taking a Beginners language course at Foyle International will provide you with a basic knowledge of your chosen language by helping you develop practical communicative skills.
The course, which is delivered by experienced, native speakers, will cover basic grammar and essential vocabulary, while preparing you to communicate effectively and with confidence in a limited range of topics relating to everyday situations.
The course is taught mainly through the target language and works on the four skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing, with the main emphasis being placed on speaking, listening and having fun!
As a student on a Beginners course, you will take part in interactive language activities in a relaxed and supportive environment. In pairs and groups, you will have a chance to practise new vocabulary, grammar and functional language for everyday situations.
In the final week, there is a review and consolidation of the material covered on the course as well as advice on how to take your studies further.
By the end of the Beginners course, you should be able to understand and communicate using your new language in very basic situations. You will also be ready to start the next level of language learning: Improvers.
