We offer a range of summer school programmes for juniors. By combining language classes with an integrated programme of extended learning activities and excursions, our students are able to see a dramatic improvement in their confidence and English skills.

ENGLISH + ACTIVITIES SUMMER SCHOOL

Our Junior Summer School focuses on developing students’ skills in language and communication through the participation in extra-curricular activities including a combination of arts, dance, music, sport and digital technologies.

Students will also integrate with local students of the same age during the social programme (Buddy Partner Programme). Weekends will involve excursions around the island of Ireland – such as the Giants Causeway, Wild Atlantic Way, Game of Thrones’ locations and the Titanic Centre in Belfast.

  • Age: 13-17 years
  • Level: A1-C1 
  • Class size: 15

  • 15 hours (20 lessons) of English group tuition per week
  • 5 afternoon activities
  • 3 evening activities
  • 1 day excursion at weekends
  • Buddy programme – integration with local students in the social programme
  • Full board accommodation with host family
  • Available to groups and individual students

ENGLISH + PERFORMING ARTS SUMMER SCHOOL

Our Junior English and Performing Arts course focuses on developing students’ skills in language and communication through music, drama, dance and communication. Students will learn and practice English actively and consistently through arts and performances.

This course will immerse students in the arts and cultures of Derry and Ireland whilst developing knowledge, skills, language and performance practices.Weekends will involve excursions around the island of Ireland – such as the Giants Causeway, Wild Atlantic Way, Game of Thrones’ locations and the Titanic Centre in Belfast.

ENGLISH + HORSE RIDING SUMMER SCHOOL

Our English and Horse Riding Residential Summer School is run in conjunction with Tullagh Bay Equestrian Centre and based in Donegal (Republic of Ireland), along the Wild Atlantic Way, giving students the opportunity to enjoy the best tuition and riding available in the North West of Ireland.

A family run business, nestled in one of Europe’s finest coastal landscapes known as the Wild Atlantic Way, it is the most beautiful setting in which to ride. The programme itself combines English classes each morning with horse riding in the afternoons (or vice versa), and social programmes each evening. On weekends there are excursion to exciting tourist hotspots to see some of Ireland’s most famous landmarks.

  • Age: 12-16 years
  • Level: A1-C1 
  • Class size: 15

  • 15 hours (20 lessons) of English group tuition per week
  • 15 hours of Equine activities per week (approx. 2 hrs per day) 
  • On-site residential accommodation, full board (with 24 hr supervision)
  • Various beach activities (weather permitting)
  • Evening activities 
  • Weekend excursions
  • Available to groups and individual students

ENGLISH + SURFING SUMMER SCHOOL

Our English and Surfing Residential Summer School is run in conjunction with Tullagh Bay Equestrian Centre and Inishowen Surf School. With rippling waves, ocean swells and untouched beaches, the Wild Atlantic Way is an essential destination for a superb surf spot.

The programme combines English classes in the morning and surfing in the afternoons (or vice versa, depending on tides), with social activities each evening. On weekends, there are excursion to exciting tourist hotspots to see some of Ireland’s most famous landmarks.

This programme is suitable for both beginners and more experienced surfers.
